Tonight it was a pleasure to once more be part of the Markets Board celebrating our fabulous food markets. Im lucky as the Board gives me a wider appreciation of the whole food industry supporting my role in the city as chairman of licensing the premises selling us food and drink. Tonight we heard more about our aspiration to introduce a Bill in Parliament and realise the long held dream of bringing the wholesale markets together. A plan to secure their future in London creating a modern, sustainable food centre for London and the South East. Benefits of the move will be felt across the whole food supply chain, as well as for the boroughs and for Londoners. #london #supplychain #food
