The City of London is home to one of the most diverse concentrations of high quality arts and culture organisations and activities in the UK: Concert halls, museums, art galleries, libraries and festivals, in a setting that includes world famous historic buildings, bridges and monuments. Together these provide a range of attractions for visitors to the City, as well as enriching the lives of residents and workers alike and providing jobs and educational opportunities for the City, neighbouring borough and indeed London as a whole.
A wonderful example of our arts offering is the Barbican centre: http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/things-to-do/visiting-the-city/attractio…, but we also have the Guildhall At Gallery hosting the remains of the Roman Amphitheatre, the Museum of London, and ...well why just read this list please come and visit!
I'd encourage everyone to look at the City as a place of culture and the arts, something I told our Culture Secretary Sajid Javid.
