The London Careers Festival is an enterprise of the City of London Corporation and will be taking place across the City 17-21 June, with the Guildhall hosting two days (Tuesday 18 & Wednesday 19 June).
On Tuesday 18 the Lord Mayor will be opening the Festival at the Guildhall complex at 12 noon and main events will include: Apprentice 19, an initiative of the Stationers’ Company, and LSL (Livery Schools Links) Annual Careers Showcase. Other activities include Primary Futures ‘What’s My Line’workshop, Build the City of the Future LEGO workshop, Inspiring the Futures Careers Speed Networking and ASK – Amazing Apprenticeship.
The London Careers Festival is also proud to offer specially curated ‘Fringe Days’, which are taking place on Monday 17, Thursday 20 and Friday 21 June. These will be hosted by a range of world class businesses, institutions and organisations including the Aon, Barbican, Bloomberg, Google, LSO, Microsoft, Museum of London, PwC, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Charterhouse, Tower Bridge and WhiteHat. A website has been created for schools to enable them to book tickets. The website has been developed by a Year 12 student at City of London School. So far 63 schools have pre-registered to attend, and a further 400 will be sent details of the booking website. We hope that over 3000 students will take part in the Festival.
