It was a fabulous visit today to New Spitalfields - judged Best Wholesale Market 2018 at this years’ Great British Market Awards.
The sun was shining and the sheriffs full of cheeky comments about the vegetables, making today’s civic visit to the market a great event.
However, the real purpose of today was for the Mayor of Waltham Forrest and the Lord Mayor to visit the traders and for us to thank Chris Hutchinson, who for the past 14 years has led the traders association. His record of achievement will take some effort to beat, and we were delighted to celebrate with him today.
