Tonight the City launched its new economic development team the Growth and Innovation Directorate.
The Corporation is dedicated to a vibrant and thriving City, supporting a diverse and sustainable London within a globally-successful UK.
London is a global hub for innovation in finance and professional services, commerce and culture. Our new directorate is designed to keep it so, by engaging with Governments, businesses and trade associations to promote growth for London.
The launch was an excellent opportunity to highlight these aims, especially to an audience that included many foreign ambassador teams, the Foreign Office and a range of professional services bodies. We highlighted our ambitions for London from our new food markets, and culture mike work to our support for fintech and financial services. The message at heart is simple London is a wonderful city with a positive future thanks to the dedication of the Corporation.
