I was very pleased and honoured that my fellow council members returned me to the Licensing Committee, and the Committee then re elected me as chairman for the ensuing year.
I will do all I can to make the City a great place to visit and support the trade, whilst of course keeping an eye on the cumulative impact of venues on City Residents.
This week I hosted a round table to talk to the industry and it was very useful to hear about they experienced.
In my view the City of London’s hospitality sector is key to the City’s attractiveness, and there is a considerable demand for bars, pubs, and al fresco spaces at street level and on roof terraces.
