Today closes two days of business and diplomatic networking amongst the Commonwealth Nations. A family of 56 nations representing 1/3 of the world’s population. It was a great honour to play a small part and take part in the High Commissioners Banquet where we heard from the Prime Minister of Samoa. The event included people from so many nations I cannot name them all but it was a delight to talk to people from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Malta and so many more. The delegates also included the ENTERPRISE AND INVESTMENT COUNCIL - the COMMONWEALTH’S BUSINESS NETWORK, and the Royal Society founded in 1868, that is a network of individuals and organisations committed to improving the lives and prospects of Commonwealth citizens across the world. Being globally connected is a joy, both in my professional life and thanks to London’s global status. I hope the Commonwealth continues to create connections for people around the world for many years to come!
